Wind energy – the way forward for Britain?
Britain is set to make an increasing investment in wind energy in the years to come. And so we should, in my opinion. Wind is certainly a resource that the UK has in abundance, so harnessing to provide green energy for millions of homes has to be a good idea.
Some argue that wind farms are a blot on the landscape that spoil the natural landscape, but I disagree. I find them quite striking, and I’d far rather see wind farms dotted across the country than more power stations burning up irreplaceable fossil fuels. Besides, many new farms are now situated offshore where the winds are stronger and where they cannot be seen from the shore.
