Cheap credit cards help reduce your debt

I found myself looking for cheap credit cards online the other day. I’m not looking to get into debt, so I want the card with the best interest rate that won’t change me too much over an extended period of time.

I plan on paying it off every month (I suppose everyone says that at first), as it’s really just for paying for things I want to buy over the Internet, but it makes sense to shop around and go for the best offer possible, I think.

Luckily you can quickly and easily compare credit cards online using price comparison sites. I haven’t quite decided which one I’m going to go for yet, but I do have a couple of likely contenders.

Bad credit cards – get credit with a bad credit rating

I used to think it was impossible to get a credit card if you had a bad credit rating. Apparently, however, it’s not – there are some companies out there who specialise in bad credit cards for people whose credit rating is poor.

A friend of mine got into a bit of trouble with debt a few years ago, and his credit rating subsequently went through the floor. While he’s learnt his lesson and will (hopefully) never get into debt again, he does want a credit card for making online payments for things.

He can’t get a normal card, but he is eligible for a bad credit card. The interest rate is very high, but as long as he pays it off every month it shouldn’t be too much of a worry.
